Dallara
Dallara Automobili, operating at Varano de’ Melegari (PR) since 1972, is specialized in designing and producing race-cars of various types and components with high quality standards as well as in aerodynamic research, conducted in its two wind tunnels.
The founder, Gian Paolo Dallara, before establishing his own company, was a designer for the lea- ding Italian car manufacturers.
The name Dallara is linked to numerous championships of international level, such as the Indianapolis 500 Miles.
The first great victory came in 1978, in the Formula Three Italian cham- pionship. From 1988 to 1992 Dallara has been present in Formula One, designing and making the cars for the Italian Team.
Today the company also produces automobiles for Formula Indy and for the Le Mans 24 Hours, and collaborates with great firms such as Honda, Alfa, Audi, Toyota, and Bugatti.
