LGM
Just three letters in all: LGM is the name of a small motorcyle producer of Rastellino, an outlying district of Castelfranco Emilia. The letters are the initials of three names: the surname of Lorenzoni Mario (sponsor tecnico) from Anzola Emilia who emigrated to Switzerland where he managed a motorcycle accessories shop in Geneva, the first name of Gianni Ribuffo (motorcycle racer) and and the surname of Paolo Marcheselli, a lover of motors (designer, draftsman, machine tool operator and mechanic).
The company was formed in 1973 after the leaving Tecnomoto in Vignola, with which Marcheselli was a collaborator and Ribuffo a motorcycle racer from 1970 to '72.
